SharePoint Setup Tutorial – Overview and Options

Welcome to the new series of tutorials on SharePoint. In Lesson 1, we will go over the setup and general functions of this Content Management System. This will include setting up your first website and how the different menu tools function.

SharePoint is a web-based collaborative platform that integrates with Microsoft Office. Launched in 2001, SharePoint is primarily sold as a document management and storage system, but the product is highly configurable and its usage varies substantially among organizations.
